Imagine Further Collective

At Imagine Further, we believe, given equitable support, all youth can thrive.

Our year long, anti-violence program prevents crime by equipping youth with mental health education and emotional regulation, coping skills, conflict resolution and impulse control techniques, and leadership opportunities.

Since 2020, we have served 1,100 children in Pittsburgh and hosted 250 program sessions.

Our Journey Toward Impact

On average National Alliance on Mental Illness research shows it takes youth 11 years from the onset of mental health symptoms for them to receive mental health services. What happens during those 11 years impacts an individual's life. Will they make the right choices?

Our community-based anti-violence program:

  1. Prevents crime by equipping youth with mental health education and emotional regulation, coping skills, conflict resolution and impulse control techniques, and leadership development opportunities.

  2. Bridges gaps in mental health services for youth impacted by systemic inequities (i.e. under/uninsured youth, mental health provider shortages, lack of transportation and technology, etc.) To date, we have served 700 youth.

  3. Fosters safer, healthier communities by breaking the mental health stigma, preventing youth crime, and opening paths for individualized and community healing.

  4. Creates cross-sector relationships with after school programs, summer camps, schools, government agencies, corporations, foundations, universities, other nonprofit organizations, and local community leaders.

Our Partners

With a focus on collaborative, community-led change, we partner with local youth-serving organizations, funders, and community stakeholders  to provide education, resources, and support, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Together, we will heal ourselves and our communities.
